Taproom Tastings: Salt

Our popular virtual series Taproom Tastings is back for its fifth season!

Join co-hosts KTM&HC Chief Curator Catherine Prescott and Hendrick I. Lott House Executive Director Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli each month for a lively discussion of historic trends in food, drink, and culture. 

In December, Catherine and Mary explore one of the oldest and most ubiquitous seasonings: salt. As a food preservative and as a source of the essential element sodium, salt has played a critical role in human history.
