The Hendrick I. Lott House is a rare survivor of Brooklyn’s rural past. The historic house has been home to the eight generations of Lotts, from 1719 to 1989, as scores of women and men, immigrant and native-born, enslaved and free, in one of the earliest established Dutch settlements in New York City. Today, the Lott House stands as a testament to Brooklyn’s diverse history.

Preserving the Lott House requires continued dedication, resources, and care.
